For those of you in the Boston area, I’ll be in my old stomping grounds again briefly as part of the Danvers Literary Festival, all day at the Peabody Institute Library of Danvers. I’ll be on a fantasy panel with fellow New Yorker Leanna Renee Hieber, and an old buddy from the BRAWLers writing group (of which I was a member of while I lived in Boston), Margaret Ronald. (Paul Park was going to be there too, but cannot attend, alas.) We’ll be on a panel discussing all things fantasy.
The whole event is free, so come on out!
Hmm. Not sure I can make it, but I’ll see. I’m rehearsing at 12:30, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it to Danvers in time.
Hi! I just finished reading your first novel in basically one sitting (bought it at 3, finished by 10) and I wanted to tell that I LOVED IT! Reading such a strong, articulate, mixed-race heroine… well, it just hit me in all the right places. I can’t wait for the sequel. And now I’m going to go wander around campus trying to get all my friends to read it, too.
Loved your book =) I was particularly impressed with how complete it was – possibly the first book I’ve read lately which was a trilogy but felt like a full and finished story. Excellent *grins* Congratulations on your first novel! I look forward to many more.
7 hours? It took me a year and a half to write, and you finished it in 7 hours?? =)
But I’m thrilled you loved it. Book 2 comes out in November!
Yeah, I hate it when books end on cliffhangers. Glad you liked it!
