I really enjoyed this! At first I was a bit leery because I’m not found of a lot of backstory and explanation in an opening chapter, but the voice and style drew me in, and I definitely want to read the rest now. very nice job–I can’t wait until the book is out. :D Thanks for the sample chapter!
